Spot-On Ad Specs
Spot-On manages the placement of a wide variety of online ads – video pre-roll, static and animated banners, mobile and tablets. Ads are served by us so you have complete control and accountability. You’ll know what’s working, what’s not and have the ability to change it – within minutes if necessary.

 

Static Banner Ads

  • File weights for ALL banners may NOT exceed 40kb. JPEG and GIF formats are accepted.

 

Animated Banner Ads

  • Animated .gifs and html5 formats are accepted.

  • Animated ads MUST stop after 15 seconds – no looping.

 

Spot-On does not accept .swf files for use as banner ads. We accept html5 files and .gifs for all animated ads. If you are unfamiliar with html5, the format, Spot-On will convert your Photoshop (.psd) and Illustrator (.ai) files for you – at NO charge. Please have your graphic artists submit a finished and approved ad with the .psd and .ai files to Spot-On along with all file elements.

File elements can include:
•  ALL file layers – .psd and .ai
•  Art images and photos used in creating the ads
•  Typefaces and fonts used in creating the ads

These files should be sent via email as a .zip file or accessed via a sharing or .ftp site.

 

Video Pre-Roll Ads
  • Video size between 1mb and 10mbs.
  • At least one FLV file for Flash video players.
  • At least one MP4 file(H.264 compression preferred) and one WebM file
    for mobile/HTML5 video players.
  • Video time 15-30 seconds.
  • 16:9 or 4:3 apsect ratio.
  • 640×260 (16:9) or 640×480 (4:3) dimensions.

 

Mobile Ads
  • Dimensions: 300×250 and 320×480 pixels with file weights at 10kb or lower
    and 728×90 pixels with file weight at 20kb or lower
  • HTML5, GIF and JPEG formats accepted.
  • HTML5, files MUST have static graphics for back-up
